The crab news in Bethany Beach happened at 210 Garfield Parkway. The Blue Crab closed there after its 2025 season. That ended a 22-summer run of all-you-can-eat crabs and fried chicken. Fins Hospitality Group opened a second Claws Seafood House in the space in April 2026. It brings the Rehoboth Avenue original's all-you-can-eat blue crab format down the coast. Bethany calls itself one of the Quiet Resorts. Its restaurants funnel onto Garfield Parkway, the short main street between Route 1 and the boardwalk.
The steadier landmark is Mickey's Family Crab House on Jefferson Bridge Road. It sits a block west of Route 1 at the south edge of town. It has steamed crabs and fried its jumbo lump crab cakes since May 1990. Add the carryout market down the highway toward South Bethany. This modest town is now the strongest crab stop on the Delaware stretch between Ocean City and Dewey.
