The short version: we store as little as possible and sell none of it.

What we store

If you sign in to rate a crab house, we store your email address and your ratings and reports. If you join the newsletter, we store your email and whether you confirmed. If you send feedback, we store the message and a hashed, non-reversible fingerprint of your network address to stop abuse.

Cookies

One cookie, only after you sign in, so you stay signed in. If ads are running, Google AdSense sets its own cookies under its own policies; ads are always labeled.

Email

Sign-in links and the weekly newsletter go out through SendGrid. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. We never share or sell addresses.

Getting out

Use the feedback button and ask. Your account data and comments get deleted same-week.
