The Crab Connect

The Crab Connect is a crab market, not a restaurant. Lewes native Bryan Stewart comes from a family of local watermen. He started it in 2019 as a Facebook page selling crabs to friends. The following grew into a storefront on Coastal Highway at Midway. A steam trailer sits out front. Jumbo males, mixed males and mixed females fill the board. Everything sells by the dozen, half bushel and bushel at market pricing. The shop asks you to confirm the price by phone or chat before pickup. Fans call the crabs the heaviest and best packed on this stretch of coast. The recurring gripe in reviews is price quotes shifting between the phone call and the register.
